Our FW25 CORE Collection is now available online. It includes our CORE Selvedge Jean in two different cuts and our CORE RINSED Selvedge Jacket. This collection represents BONICEL DENIM’s first official production lot (Lot #1). Lot #1 was cut & sewn in Los Angeles, CA with my friends Brian & Alberto. They made me exactly 49 pairs of each denim cut - the TYPE 55 & TYPE 56.

CORE TYPE 55 SELVEDGE JEANS: Modeled after a Levi’s 501 from 1955, our TYPE 55 is neither slim nor straight but perfectly in-between. A classic silhouette that is familiar to most. Our TYPE 55 features a medium rise, a roomy thigh, and a gradual inseam taper that never gets too slim. Additional features include hidden back pocket rivets, selvedge coin pocket, button fly, chainstitch hem, and a genuine leather patch.

CORE TYPE 56 SELVEDGE JEANS: Modeled after the same 1955 Levi’s 501 but without any leg taper whatsoever. The fit of our TYPE 56 still features a medium rise and roomy thigh but with an entirely straight leg silhouette. Both fits are cut from a beautiful13oz Raw Selvedge fabric woven in Japan by Nihon Menpu. The additional features and sewing construction are the same across both fits.

CORE TYPE II SELVEDGE JACKET: modeled after the infamous Type II silhouette coined by Levi’s in the early 1900’s. Our TYPE 02 is slightly different, as it was crafted with a more modern fit interpretation. Ours is quite roomy in comparison and features plenty of width for layering. Cut from the same 13oz Raw Selvedge fabric woven in Japan by Nihon Menpu. Additional features include over-sized front pockets, signature box pleats, waist adjusters, and a sleeve placket.
